No Mo' Chemo Party

Last night was our big party to celebrate the end of Joel's chemo journey which we called "No Mo' Chemo". We had an incredible time celebrating with everyone. Thanks so much to everyone who came out to see us! I will definitely talk more about the party in the next post but I just wanted to post a few pics of the event.

The room. Thanks Trasey and Lorna!

Some of the food. Thanks Mom!

The YUMMY dessert table-Thanks Teresa!!

Our party favors-Cancer Sucks T-Shirts! It also has our foundations website on it. More to come on that later.

With my friends Lindsay and Shelly. They are responsible for getting me out of the house MANY times this year just to have some much needed "girl time". They are the bestest.

With our friends Gib, Lauren and Levi Parks. It is crazy to me that when Joel was diagnosed we didn't even know this family. We are so thankful that God has brought them into our lives. Love, love them!

Some of our greatest friends and also our neighbors Anthony and Heather! The night Joel was diagnosed with cancer Heather called me and just asked me to take a walk with her around the neighborhood. I still remember that night and walking around shell shocked at the news we had just heard and wondering what this year would hold for us. Their support for us has never wavered and we love them lots.

Our friends and pastors Chris, Julie and new baby Joy. They are AMAZING in every way. Chris would grab Joel many times when church was over just to lay hands on him and pray for his healing. Their constant support has meant so much to us. They are another one of the blessings that God brought into our lives this year and we love them loads.

With my brother, sister, and cousin Aubrey. Every time we take pics together we are all smiling big at who knows what joke was just told. Love family.

With Teresa, Kayla, and Jackilyn. This family knows us better than just about anyone and I know they will ALWAYS be there when we need them. The night of Joel's surgery Teresa slept with me in the ICU waiting room-on coffee tables pushed together as makeshift beds-now THAT'S friendship. Love them so very much.

My family. Not the best picture of us all but that's ok! Joel and I-literally-could not have made it through this year without them. I could go on for hours about all that they have done for us. They have been amazing this year in every way imaginable.

We took tons of pictures and I could have written captions on every single one of them-but I had to try to narrow it down so I didn't write a novel. That just proves to me how insanely blessed we are to have all of the people that God has placed in our life. Our friends are God's biggest blessing to us and we love each and every one of you!

Before I sign off one last pic. As we were cleaning up the depot we were about to throw away the chocolate when someone suggested that Joel and I let out our inner children and do what else? Stick our face in the fountain of course! Of course we were game for that :)
